Actually the blog is very noisy and full of events. The school internet block the tag board which we usually post or chat. There are class photos in the archives which were taken last year.

SCL Club Soccer Kickoff
Dear CP0505,
AC Milan have trash Man-U, 3-kosong in San Siro. (I have been there, you know). Aspiring to be like Kaka? Here is your golden opportunity. SCL club is organising a soccer kickoff for all SCL students. This will encourage student interaction within the school following the orientation that just passed (which I believe both the freshees and the OGL's have enjoyed).
In addition, it is a good time for the students to take a break from their hectic studies.
The details for the event is as follows:
Date: 12 May 2007
Time: 9am-5pm
Venue: Sports Complex, Stadium
You must be FAST!. Currently, 2 CPT teams (1 from year2 and 1 from year3) have signed up. Let me know if you are interested.
Sincerely,
Your PEM

Your mentor speaks...
Dear CP0505,
This is a wonderful way of sharing my thoughts with you as my PEM class as I am a man of few words. You see, when I was tasked to take over this mentor group CP0505, actually I was fearful. Fearful because of the challenges that laid ahead of me in handling this class. This class has seen cases of removal, suspension, students not doing well in exams - just to mention a few prior to me taking over as your PEM. I know that to do my best as your PEM is not good enough a statement to make. As the word PEM stands for personal mentor, it really means that to be your guide and advisor and that is a heavy reponsibiliy which extends beyond just my normal teaching duties. That is why I am fearful. I pray that I am able to fulfil this duty to the fullest extend.
On a positive note, from what i observed, this class CP0505 is rather vibrant, cohesive and "crazy" too! Keep it that way...OK?
Last week i share with on the 80/20 rule in life..20 % of your life is filled with incidents that are beyond your control e.g. failure of relationship, passing away of someone whom you cherish most, the weather (hey today it rained heavily, right?) etc while the 80% of your life is filed with those incidents that you chose on how to react to those uncontrollable 20% in your life. Your life depends on how you react.
I was given a parking ticket on Sunday for parking in the Loading/Unloading bay in an HDB estate. The fine is $100. Upon reaching my car, I met with the parking attendant. This is the 20% incidents of my life. It has already happened and is beyond my control. The next few moments forms the other 80% of my life. I choose to stay calm and very gently explain to the parking warden of my situation. He sympathise with me and make a remark on my parking ticket and told me to appeal accordingly as that is the best he could help me. I was grateful to him and thank him for that. If have reacted the other way around by quarelling with him, by making a fuss over it, the scenario played out would be very different. So no matter what...stay calm, keep your cool no matter what..when someone hurled some insults at you...never mind! just walk away and stay cool.
That's all for now. Bye for now and take care!
Sincerely,
Your PEM
Albert
