NE Update

As part of the the school's requirement, all students must go through a compulsary NE module in order to graduate. The objectives of NE are to instil a sense of belonging to our country, as well as to develop national cohesion. Due to tight schedule (CPTC training and class chalets), NE lessons will be arranged on the following time-slots. Please be present on all sessions unless supported by valid reasons e.g. MC. You would not want to repeat your semester because of NE.

Tentative Venue: LT-Q2

FYI, all of you are required to do a group poster presentation on 31 Aug afternoon. As such, you may like to form up your groups in advance (4 members in a group, members can be from diff PEM class). One last thing: Please disseminate this info to all your fellow courses especially those who are in CP0501-04.

Wishes from Sankar

It was such a pleasant surprise meeting you all after a long time at Yokogawa. Thanks for your time and hope you all carried something useful back home. I have attached two of those pictures that i have taken with the students from NYP. To be honest, it was the charming smile on your bright faces that made me feel proud to have been associated with you all for close to two years at NYP.

Thanks Fu Chang for calling me on the other day and Lee Ning on behalf of the class inviting for the chalet. I am honoured and would not like to slip the opportunity given to mingle with the class for one more time. I shall be there. If the staffs count is going to be on the high side, which we would like and wish to, then let me work out with Fu Chang on the Financial issues.
Your exams fast approaching. Finish it off with a style. All the best. Remember no more exams even if you wish to some more!! Put your complete effort into it and forget once for all. Next semester the birds from the flock would be starting to fly in different directions. Cheerish the moments at NYP. Found too many reminders from Mr.Albert in the blog!!! Hi Albert !! Hope u all are not giving him a hard time!!! (just kidding!)
Just in case you all dont have my contact details. My mobile is 81576147 and email id is Sankar.Selvaraj@sg.yokogawa.com, shanshu75@hotmail.com. We shall keep in touch. Good luck. Take care and bye.

Student Discipline: Improper attire: slippers

Dear CP0505,

In recent months, there has been an increase of our students wearing improper attire in the form of flip-flops (open-ended Japanese slippers) in our campus. This is presenting a scruffy image in our campus of our students to visitors, the neighborhood and the smartly-dressed students.
In the last round of SPICE checks, a total of 26 students (22 from SEG(M) and 4 from SCL(C)) were found wearing flip-flops. Only a few of them had excuses such as blisters or recovering from injuires.

Please be reminded that it is imperative as a student of NYP to dress properly as in accordance to the guidelines spelt out in the Student Handbook.

Sincerely,

Your PEM
AlbertY
