Another year....on

Dear CP0505,

It has been quite some time since I write to you all. You must be wondering why the long silence..well, it is because I am too bogged down with things in campus..like Open House, academic duties, new diploma etc...it is now that I can have a little break that I am able to find some time to write to you all.

How are things going on for you in the working world? Different I guess. Very soon you find and realise that the best time of your life is actually when you are still a student.

2007 has just past in such "swoosh" and I hope that each one of you can look back and say to yourself I did accomplish something (small or big never mind) in 2007. Everyone of you has matured over the past year and I observe that you are now in a very much better position to handle life's challenges and unexpectations.

Always set goals for yourself (not too big goals) so that life can be a little more meaningful..for yourself. No matter how busy, take time to "smell the roses" along the way and appreciate the gift of life.

Remember, life situations can be very unpredicatable sometimes..so stay cool no matter what..it is always better 'to light a candle than to curse the darkness', think of solutions rather than blaming everyone else including yourself.

On handling relationships, go easy..when I was a student I never think that one day I will be married (marriage is the furthest thing on my mind then).. and now I am 15 years married! When it comes, it comes..and not to say married life is all a bed of roses, always on "cloud 9"? No, it has it own challenges too..and like any other elements in this world, it can failed too as this world is not a perfect world..so when relationships failed, just move on and continue to live life to the fullest no matter what. Don't think too much of the past..people get depressed is because they dwell too much in the past, live the present moment and be optimistic of the future.

On discovering your passion in life...you need to keep searching as there is no such thing as an ideal job or career. This is an imperfect world, remember? Do something which you think you can handle it fairly well within the limits of ability. Keep thinking and discovering and learning. The more you learn along the way, the more you will discover your own hidden abilities.

For instance, for myself I would to learn to play the drum in the coming year..I will update you on that..

As for now here's to wishing you and your families a Blessed Christmas and may the new year 2008 brings you and your family peace, joy, good health and anxiety-free.

Sincerely,

Your PEM
AlbertY
